Up To Date Diagnostic Tools

M&D Auto offer its customers the most up to date diagnostic tools. Diagnosing automatic gearbox faults is the first stage in establishing the root cause of a gearbox failure. To do this we need to run a scan of the transmission control unit (TCU) to obtain stored information within it. This will tell us if the vehicle gearbox has an electronic fault, or if a slip code is presently relating to a possible hydraulic or mechanical problem. Today’s automatic gearboxes are highly complex, and since the introduction of fully electronic computer-controlled systems, we have seen a huge increase in the need for specialist diagnostic machinery. All of this help us define the problem and lead us to right solution and repair.

Symptoms of automatic transmission problems:

• The transmission is slipping between the gears.
• A weird noise coming from the transmission.
• Transmission fluid has a burning colour or smell.

1. Disassembly and carefully and completely tearing down the transmission.
2. Replacing the parts that caused the problems in the transmission and cleaning all of the rest that will be used in the re-assembly.
3. Remanufacturing the torque converter.
4. Valve body repair.
5. Change of the transmission fluid and oil filter.
6. Assembling the transmission parts, inspection, cleaning the transmission cooling system and modifying it with the new computer updates.
